Research project funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation in the collaborative applied investigation in projects category within research projects within the instrumental line of action of R & D National Plan of R & D 2008-2011, on the analysis and vibrations reduction generated in tunnels by rail traffic.

The project developed a numerical methodology for analysis and prediction of vibration in the environment generated by rail traffic in tunnels (primarily urban subways and trams) as well as strategies for its reduction. This methodology allows for a series of practical recommendations for the design of this type of infrastructure in relation to the analysis and control of vibration they generate.
