This project was presented at the 2008 call of “Regions of Knowledge “of the Seventh Framework Program for R & D in the EU and discussed new integrated Watershed Management in Southern Regions of Europe to build a European network to strengthen the synergies between regional, national and European related to research on issues linked to the comprehensive management of water resources.
The Mediterranean regions have marked peculiarities regarding the availability of water resources. This fact paired with the increase in water needs and environmental demands of today's society, requires a continuous effort to improve efficiency in managing these resources. To this end, this project seeks to consolidate a European network to strengthen the synergies between regional, national and European related to research issues linked to the comprehensive management of water resources.
