Knowledge and Imagination

Fidias Foundation was born as a nonprofit organization aimed to promote and conduct scientific research and technical excellence, supporting the development and implementation of priority Andalusian and National R & D & I action plans and to put forward, encourage, organize, coordinate, publicize and fund initiatives and activities to promote R & D & I.

Fidias promotes the professional development and research in technologies related to construction, agriculture, water, infrastructure, energy, telecommunications and new approaches to science and architecture, as well as associated engineering. Ultimately, the goal of Fidias is contributing to the overall benefit of society and improving the competitiveness of enterprises through the creation of technological knowledge, making R & D and developing its application.

These objectives are achieved through the development of various activities such as fostering, protecting and carrying out actions to support the development of scientific, technical and advanced training of professionals, researchers and students, or through executing studies, publications and general advice to other entities, both public and private.

From the hand of Ricardo Galán de Vega, Managing Director of the Foundation, significant R & D projects have been developed for clients from the Public Administration, among others the Ministry of Innovation and Science, Innovation and Development Agency of Andalusia, the Center for Studies and Experimentation of Public Works.
